Our Christian presence begins with the few of us who are here, and we will continue every week to listen to the Word of God and to bear witness to His salvation and His presence in our lives.
As we read from the apostle Paul in Romans 15:19 and the verses that follow:“so that from Jerusalem and all around to Illyricum I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.”In the same way, we also desire to “Fill Sacramento with the Gospel.”

WHY A HISPANIC CHURCH IN SACRAMENTO?
Because we are Hispanic, and we have been called by God to reach Hispanics from different countries. We believe that God has been preparing us to make the Gospel known to them, taking their contexts into account.
The proportion of Hispanics in Sacramento is 5:1; that is, out of every five people living in Sacramento, one person is Latino, according to the most recent population statistics. Among the more conservative statistics in Sacramento, CA, more than 74.6% speak Spanish. This figure makes Sacramento County and the surrounding cities home to approximately 320,683 Spanish speakers.
THE COMMUNITY WE WANT TO REACH
We have arrived in our Hispanic community at a time when isolation, loneliness, and fear are part of everyday life. We want to offer them the Gospel rather than temporary remedies. We must recognize that wherever we are, Hispanics are part of a “mega community” that deserves to be served with dignity.
VISION
The Gospel fully known throughout Sacramento County and surrounding cities through Baptist churches faithful to the Scriptures, who love and serve God.
MISSION
To plant Baptist churches in Sacramento, beginning with the one we are planting today: First Baptist Church “PalabraFiel,” which will prepare men called by God to plant churches in strategic cities with a Hispanic presence.
