We are perplexed by the events that have taken place in our world in these days; individuals, families, and marriages are undervaluing one another. Verbal and physical aggression makes the news every day. Social tension within some countries and between neighboring nations is costing many lives. More than ever, we need God—where can we find Him?

Many of us know where—in the Bible! Allow me, as I wrote before, to say this: the Bible is more than a book; it is God speaking to humanity, not only to inform us about human history, but for something greater: to awaken the human conscience. God has that power. There, in the Bible, it is possible to discover the love of God, which became real in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.
The Bible is that book which, if a person begins to read it starting with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), it is very likely that he or she will have a personal encounter with God, because there they will come to know the life of Jesus—how He came, how He lived, how He overcame death, and how He is now at the right hand of God, interceding for us who believe in Him as the Savior of our lives. With Jesus in us, we can love our neighbor, both the one who is near and the one who is far away. Let us come to Him—soon!
