A Path for Two

A Path for Two is about “my wife Flor with me” and the Other is Jesus, the Savior and Lord of our lives. Everything began in mid-1979 in Peru, the land that saw us born physically and also saw us “born again” spiritually three years earlier. We understood that from the moment of our marriage, we would no longer be two but “one,” as the Bible says. God made two paths into “one path” which we share with the Lord, which we know “He had prepared from before.”

Far be it from us to think of ourselves as the authors of “all the good in our lives before today and what we will see in the future”; all that is wonderful “is because of the life of Christ in us.” The world and the flesh do their work in everyone because of the sin that “dwells in us.” We never tire of thanking Christ for His salvation, which we do not deserve, which we have “only by His Grace.”

Allow me to further justify my testimony. Perhaps the title could rightly be “A Path of Three,” since it involves three people: the Lord, my wife, and me. But as I titled it, I think we give more glory to God. Truly, He has done all the good and wonderful things that those who know us can see.

Our lives were truly not worth even a small penny—we really mean it. He gave us New Life as individuals, as a marriage and as parents, and as servants in His Church. He made of us A Path where He was the Principal, always, and even today He continues to move our eyes toward His Person; many situations and circumstances have tried to take us off the divine map of His will. Thanks be to the Lord for His Faithfulness. His Great Love always prevailed, and because of Him we will continue until He calls us into His Presence.
